Dravidian Varsity introduces IMP course

Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 26 (UNI) A Five-Year Integrated Masters Programme(IMP) has been introduced by the Dravidian University at Kuppam for the year 2006-07.

The Integrated courses recently launched by the Andhra Pradesh State Council Higher Education(APSCHE) Chairman K C Reddy would be benificial for the downtrodden students in rural areas, the Varsity Vice-Chancellor G Lakshminarayana told reporters here today.

He said the Dravidian University was the first to launch such courses in Arts and Science, after a decision was taken at the APSCHE Vice-Chancellor's conference on introduction of five-year integrated course.

The Varsity also proposes to start MSc Herbal Bio-Technology during the academic year for them. A Herbal Garden with Bio-Diesel plants were being developed at the varsity, he added.

Registrar P Rajasekhara Reddy said the Varsity will soon launch courses in Agama and Agama Sculpture.
