CPI(ML) bandh passes peacefully in Jharkhand
Ranchi, 26 June (UNI) Barring some stray incidents of road and rail blockade the two-hour 'Chakka-Jam' sposnored by the CPI (ML) in Jharkhand passed off peacefully today.
The bandh supporters blocked Albert Ekka Chowk and Birsa Chowk. The rail traffic was also disturbed in Barwadih of Latehar, Dhanbad and in few areas of Bokaro district.
The transport on main roads connecting Ranchi, Gumla and Daltonganj was also hit for two hours.
CPI (ML) state office secretary T P Srivastava said the agitation was called to protest against 'false case' on secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya and price rise of essential commodities.
