Cong, BJP not in reckoning in UP assy elections: Sharad Yadav

Jabalpur, June 26 (UNI) JD(U) National President Sharad Yadav today said both the Congress and the BJP would not be in the reckoning in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly election.

''The JD(U) and the Apna Dal had entered into an alliance to take on the SP and the BSP in Uttar Pradesh,'' Mr Yadav told reporters here.

Regarding the BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh, he said the BJP had come to power in the state with great expectations but three Chief Ministers were changed in a span of mere three years.

''There is no difference in the working style of the Congress and the BJP in Madhya Pradesh,'' he said, adding the state government's decision to increase the court fee was not proper.

He rejected the possibility of formation of a Third Front saying the country had options of alliances representing two ideologies -- UPA and NDA -- before it at present.

Mr Yadav said directions were issued to the JD(U) Bihar President to serve a show cause notice to party's Bihar legislator Sunil Pandey for creating ruckus at a New Delhi hotel.

He added that unemployment had become a major issue before students of Hindi-medium and local language-medium schools while English-medium school students were getting preference for jobs.
