Bhutan Election Chief visits Pondicherry

Pondicherry, June 26 (UNI) A-nine member delegation from Bhutan, led by Chief of Elections Kaka Tsering today visited the Union Territory of Pondicherry.

The team called on Lt Governor M M Lakhera at Raj Nivas tonight.

The intention of the delegation was to learn more about polls, since Bhutan proposes to switch over to democratic system shortly and the team was visiting places where elections were being held.

They were here to study the local body polls.
