Arunachal BJP president resigns

Itanagar, June 26 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh state BJP unit president Bosiram Siram has resigned in protest against the apathetic attitude of the party's high command towards this bordering state.

Mr Siram, handed over a copy of his resignation letter to the party's organisational secretary V Satish, in-charge of North Eastern states last evening. He informed UNI today that Mr Satish came here to attend a office bearer meeting when the letter was handed over.

Mr Siram also levelled allegation against the party's organisational secretary Sundar Pal, in-charge of the state affairs, for mishandling the organisational matters of the state affairs.

However, he would continue to work as a dedicated and active worker of the party, he said and informed that a copy of his resignation letter has been dispatched to the party's national president Rajnath Singh.

He was elected from Pasighat East constituency in the last assembly election and was one of the nine legislators in the state BJP fold.

MrSiram was appointed to the post in November 2004.
