Thieves loot Rs 4.7 lakh from south Mumbai flat

Mumbai, Jun 25 (UNI) Thieves decamped with jewellery worth Rs 4.7 lakh after breaking into the flat of Arun Poonam Chandra Doshi (62), a trader, yesterday, police today said.

The missing valuables consist of diamonds, gold, silver and ladies watches. The thieves struck the house by breaking the glass window of the lavoratory between 1330 hours and 1515 hours.

The building 'Rathi Manak Mahal' situated at Nariman point was under renovation, when the incident took place.

The Marine Lines police have registered a case of house breaking against undientified persons and investigations are on, police said.

No arrests have been made yet.
