Hyderabad, Jun 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the opposition Telugu Desam Party was making ''wild allegations'' , as it had no issue to place before the people during the ensuing Local Body elections.

Talking to newspersons at his camp office here, he claimed that the TDP was pretty sure that it was going to be defeated in the polls. ''Hence it was searching for excuses,'' he said.

Dr Reddy said when he had asked the opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu to name one Zilla Parishat which his party could win, the latter was unable to do so.

Referring to the opposition charge that the ruling party had pressurised the revenue officials and got lakhs of names removed from the voters list, Dr Reddy said it was the Election Commission that revised the voters list and not the government.

The Chief Minister said all the political parties would be supplied draft rolls for them to raise objections, if any. He urged the media not to publicise the allegations without verifying facts.
