Chennai, June 24 (UNI) Sri Lankan off-spinner Muthiah Muralidharan landed here tonight to be with his five-month-old son Naren, who was operated upon at the Malar Hospital here.

Muralidharan arrived from London via Colombo, amidst tight security in view of the current situation in his country over the ethnic issue.

He broke his stint with Sri Lankan team which is playing the ODI series against England.

On his arrival in Chennai Airport, Muralidharan was led out with security. His son underwent a surgery of the bowels yesterday and is in good health, according to his family sources.

Muralidharan's visit in Chennai was also kept a closely guarded secret by his in-laws here.
