Rain lashes Hamirpur

Hamirpur, June 25 (UNI) Heavy rains accompanied by strong velocity winds lashed various parts of Hamirpur district this morning.

The rain, the first of the monsoon season, not only brought down the temperatures and provided relief from scorching heat but also brought cheer back on the faces of farmers.

Reports from other parts of the district said the rains have somewhat eased the water crisis in the district.

District Agriculture Deputy Director O C said the rain was helpful for the growth of Kharif crops.
