Rahul Mahajan quizzed by police

New Delhi, June 25 (UNI) Late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul and close aide Sudhanshu Mittal were interrogated by Delhi police today in connection with the June 1 drinks and drugs party here.

The late leader's personal secretary Bibek Moitra had died while Rahul was taken seriously ill after the late night party that day.

According to police sources, Mittal, who had handed over two white pouches containing drugs recovered from the crime scene to doctors at Apollo Hospital early on June 2, was brought face to face with Rahul, who denies having ever taken any drug.

The questioning at the Tughlaq Road Police Station lasted over two hours.

Mittal and Harish Sharma, another close aide of the late BJP General Secretary, as well as two domestic servants at Mr Mahajan's 7 Safdarjang Road residence were quizzed in the case yesterday as well, their lawyer Ramesh Gupta said.

Sharma and a domestic servant have been booked for tampering with evidence.

Rahul was arrested on June 5. He spent two days in police custody and seven days in jail before being granted bail.
