'People want change in UP politics like Bihar'

Mirzapur, June 25 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh want change in the political set up in the state, as had been accomplished in Bihar.

''Anarchy prevail everywhere in UP and the present government has failed to give any respite to the masses,'' Mr Kumar said while addressing a public meeting here of the Janata Dal (United).

Claiming that JD(U) was the only vilable front to end the misery of the people in the state, he said it was upto the people to decide on their future political dispensation.

Mr Kumar criticised both the SP and BSP for the problem of law and order and power in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav said his party was fast emerging as a strong force in the state and options have been kept open to forge allaince with some like minded small parties for the coming assembly polls.

Criticising the UPA government at the centre, Mr Yadav said it has failed in all the fields as prices of essential commodities were rising day by day.
