More than 6,000 cases of Chikungunya reported in Dharwad District
Dharwad, June 25 (UNI) Virus disease 'Chikungunya' is on the rise in Dharwad district with more than 6000 cases reported.
According to official sources, Chikungunay cases have been reported from Dharwad City (242), Dharwad Rural (596), Hubli City (297), Hubli Taluk (725), Kalghatagi Taluk (1005), Kundgol Taluk (1812) and Navalgund Taluk (1339).
With no medicine available to cure the patients, the health department has asked the people to keep their surroundings clean to avoid breeding by mosquitoes.
