Major shake-up in Jammu

Srinagar, Jun 25: In the biggest reshuffle during his nearly eight-month tenure, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has effected transfers of several senior IAS and KAS officers in the state administration.

An official spokesman said today that while selecting incumbents for various positions, the Cabinet gave special consideration to integrity, ability and suitability of officials for different posts.

The Cabinet, which met here last evening, approved the transfers and postings of about 61 officials in the administration.

Amit Kushari, Financial Commissioner Revenue, has been transferred as Director General IMPA. G D Wadhwa, Financial Commissioner Labour and Employment Department, has been transferred as Financial Commissioner Revenue. S V Bhave, Principal Secretary Revenue Department, has been posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K, New Delhi relieving Ajit Kumar of additional charge.

Sonali Kumar, Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education, has been transferred as Principal Secretary ARI and Training.

Anil Goswami, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, would hold the additional charge of Health and Medical Education till further orders. Madhav Lal, Principal Secretary Housing, has been posted as Principal Secretary Power Development Department.

S S Sahni has been posted as Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department. A S Sidhu, Chairman Special Tribunal, has been transferred as Chairman Bureau of Public Enterprises.

B L Nimash, Principal Secretary ARI and Trainings, has been posted as Principal Secretary Labour and Employment Department. R K Jerath, Principal Secretary Roads and Buildings, has been transferred as Chairman Special Tribunal.

Atul Dulloo, Commissioner Secretary PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Departments, has been posted as Commissioner Secretary Roads and Buildings. Davinder Nargotra, Joint Financial Commissioner, has been transferred as Commissioner Secretary Transport.

Mehboob Iqbal, Commissioner Secretary Rural Development Department, has been transferred as Commissioner Secretary PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department. A K Parmar, Secretary Social Welfare Department has been posted as Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority.

A K Garyali, Secretary ARI and Trainings Department, has been transferred as Joint Financial Commissioner. Asgar Samoon, Secretary Agriculture Production Department, has been posted as Secretary Social Welfare Department. Khazir Mohammad Wani, Chairman Services Selection Board, has been transferred as Secretary School Education.

Khalid Habib, Director CA&PD Kashmir, has been transferred as Secretary CA&PD. Naseema Lanker, Secretary Education Department, has been posted as Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department.

S Dalip Singh, Secretary Home Department has been transferred as Secretary Cooperative Department. P S Betab, Secretary Information Department, has been posted as Labour Commissioner J&K.

Masood Samoon, Secretary Finance Department, has been transferred as Secretary Revenue Department. Shailendra Kumar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister has been posted as Secretary to Chief Minister.

Sheikh Nissar Ahmad, Special Secretary Technical Education Department, has been transferred as Registrar Cooperative Societies. M S Khan, Special Secretary Finance Department, has been posted as Secretary Rural Development Department. K B Jandial, Vice Chairman JDA, has been transferred as Secretary in Agriculture Production Department. Naeem Akhtar, Secretary Agriculture Production Department, has been posted as Secretary Tourism.

Vinod Sharma, in-charge Chief Engineer JDA, has been posted as Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation. Azad Ahmad Lone, Custodian General, has been transferred as Director Employment. V K Bakshi, Special Secretary CA&PD, has been posted as Special Secretary Information Department. B D Sharma, member Special Tribunal, has been transferred as Special Secretary PDD.

Farooq Ahmad Peer, Project Director Sarva Shikhsha Abhiyan, has been transferred as Chairman Services Selection Board. Yedullah, Special Secretary Tourism, has been posted as Special Secretary Finance Department. Abdul Hamid Wani, Special Secretary Revenue, has been transferred as Special Secretary Cooperative Department.

Ghulam Rasool Ghani, Special Secretary Planning Department, has been posted as Settlement Commissioner. Ghulam Nabi Mir, Settlement Commissioner has been transferred as Director CA&PD Kashmir.

T K Sharma, has been transfered as Special Secretary Forest Department. Suraiya Bhat, Special Secretary IT Department, has been posted as Executive Director Rehabilitation Council. Ghulam Nabi Lone, Special Secretary R&B, has been transferred as Special Secretary Health and Medical Education Department.

Mohammad Shafi Rather has been posted as Special Secretary R&B, Sudershan Sharma, Director Land Management JDA Jammu has been transferred as Additional Commissioner Jammu. Abdul Majid Mir, Additional DC Budgam, has been posted as Director Land Records Kashmir and also hold the charge of Settlement Officer Kashmir.

A D Shinas, Additional DC Rajouri, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner (Central) in FC's Office. G N Qasba, Registrar Cooperatives, has been transferred as Managing Director JKTDC. Kifiyat Hussain Rizvi, Additional Secretary in Chief Minister's Office, has been posted as Custodian General.

Abdul Aziz Wani, MD JKTDC, will report to Secretary Tourism for further posting. Aijaz Ahmad Kakroo has been posted as Additional Secretary Chief Minister's Office. Ramesh Chander Sharma, Deputy Commissioner (Central) FC's Office has been transferred as Additional Secretary Revenue.
