Major shake-up in Bihar police set-up
Patna, June 25 (UNI) In a major reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred 23 IPS officers, including of the ranks of Inspector Generals (IG) and Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG).
According to a notification, issued late last night, Bihar state cooperative marketing Union (Biscomun) IG (Vigilance) A K Gupta takes over as the new IG (Weaker sections), while Director General-cum-IG (Prosecution) N C Dhaundiyal gets the charge of IG-cum-Additional Civil Defence Commissioner.
Among the two DIGs, Arvind Pandey had been shifted from Magadh range to state Crime Record Bureau in the same capacity, while DIG Shahabad range Umesh Kumar Singh would be the new incumbent in Magadh range.
The total number of SP rank officials, who were transferred, was 19.
