IMFL worth Rs 80,000 seized in Porbandar, 2 nabbed

Porbandar, June 25 (UNI) The police have seized the Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs 80,000 near Madhavpur in this district yesterday, police today said.

Acting on a tip-off, the local crime branch police team intercepted a truck near Madhavpur and seized 22 cases of IMFL valued about Rs 80,000. The truck driver and cleaner were also arrested in this connection.

However, two others escaped from the scene, the sources said.

During the interrogation, the duo revealed that the IMFL was being brought from Vapi to Porbandar. Further investigations are on, police added.
