Heavy rains likely in Mumbai in next 24 hrs

Mumbai, June 25 (UNI) With rains partially hitting the city once again, residents of the Island city may soon see heavy rainfall in the coming days.

According to weather bureau, the city may witness spells of rain and thunder showers, while parts of the city and suburbs may see one or two spells of heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

The rainfall recorded at Colaba and Santacruz from 0830 hrs yesterday to 0830 hrs today was 20.0 and 15.5 mm, respectively.

A warning has been sounded in the Konakn belt, particularly the north and south of the area, where heavy rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours.
