Fresh batch of pilgrims leave for Amarnath
Jammu, June 25 (UNI) A fresh batch of 1,921 pilgrims left today for the holy pilgrimage to Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir amid tight security..
The group, which left from the base camp of MAM stadium, here included 1,319 men, 351 women, 47 children and 204 sadhus, officials said.
The pilgrims left in a fleet of 81 vehicles, 38 buses and 43 light motor vehicles from the stadium at 0500 hrs today.
Despite threats and attacks from militant outfits, a large number of pilgrims are reaching the holy cave for to pay their obeisance.
