Five killed , two injured in road accident

Barasat, Jun 25 (UNI) Five people were killed and two, including a woman, injured when the car, they were travelling in collided, with truck on the National Highway 35 - Jessore road at Dogachhia under Gaighata police station in North 24-Parganas late last night.

Police today said the accident occurred when the victims were on way to Bongaon hospital. Among them was a wounded patient, who sustained injuries earlier in a motor bike accident in the evening.

He died on the spot.

The victims were Debigram residents under Gaighata police station, police said, adding the truck had been seized and the driver arrested.
