Demand for Bharat Ratna to Master Tara Singh

New Delhi, June 25 (UNI) A resolution supporting the demand for Bharat Ratna to freedom fighter Master Tara Singh would be brought in Delhi Assembly, Speaker Prem Singh said today.

He was speaking at a function organised to celebrate the 121st birth anniversary of the late leader here by Shiromani Akali Dal (Master Tara Singh).

He did not say when the resolution would be brought in the House.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who also was present at the function, described Master Tara Singh as a great patroit and a statesman of outstanding calibre who had worked tirelessly for the unification of India.
