DDT employees threaten agitation

Patna, Jun 25 (UNI) Bihar DDT spraying staff association today threatened to launch an agitation to press for its demands from July 4.

Association's president Mahesh Tiwari said that Patna High Court had directed the state government to prepare the panel of DDT spraying adhoc staff within four months on March 4, 2006. The court had also directed to adjust the adhoc staff against the existing vacancies.

In view of the directive of the court, all districts of the state had prepared the panel but the same was not prepared in Patna district as yet.

Mr Tiwari said that fate of employees in 16 blocks of Patna district hanged in balance due to callous approach of the officers. He said that the staff of 16 blocks in Patna district would wear black badges on July 4 to register their protest. If their demands were not conceeded by the government, they would be forced to intensify their agitation, he added.
