CID appeal to public

Hyderabad, Jun 25 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) today appealed to the general public to pass on information like illegal storage and transportation of drugs, for which they would be rewarded.

Expressing concern over clandestine use of Ganja, Diazepam, Alprazolem, Chloral Hydrate, Mandtrax and Heroin in the state. CID, Additional Director-General of Police M Ratan in a release said the CID required the cooperation of the people in controlling drug menace. The public should also pass on information relating to names and addresses of drug peddlers and drug addicts and places where the drugs are bought.

The informants would be richly rewarded and their names would be kept confidential, if their information leads to arrest or seizure, he said.
