Youth arrested with counterfeit Indian currency
Siddharthnagar, June 23 (UNI) Police arrested a youth possessing 105 fake Indian currency notes in Khalilabad town of this district bordering Nepal.
Police today said the illegal tenders were in the denomination of Rs 50. The arrested youth hailed from Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, raids were being conducted to nab other members of the module.
Yesterday, Varanasi police had busted another international fake currency racket with the arrest of three persons and seizure of fake Indian and Nepali currency totalling Rs 2.75 lakh and Rs 2.06 lakh respectively.
