Summer flavours of heritage liquor launched in Jaipur

Jaipur, June 23 (UNI) The state-owned Ganganagar Sugar Mills (GSM) today launched four special summer flavours of heritage liquor here.

The drinks have been launched in flavours of Apple-Orange, Saunf, Ilayachi and Gulab and have been priced at Rs 365 for a bottle of 750 ml.

The company will launch winter drinks laced with herbs and spices in September, GSM General Manager O P Yadav said Rajasthan State Breweries Company Ltd has received the recipes and will handle the commercial production.

Currently, they will be available only in Jaipur, Mr Yadav added.

GSM negotiated with royal families of Rajasthan to provide the secretly preserved recipes of these heritage liquors in return of royalty.

Mehensar family has provided the Apple-orange and the saunf recipes, Sheopur thikana has given the Ilayachi recipe while Badangarh thikana has parted with the Gulab recipe.

The launch of these heritage liquors is an attempt to link it with the rich history and heritage value of Rajasthan, Mr Yadav added.
