Sensex crosses 10k mark

Mumbai, June 23: The BSE Sensex tracking sad performance on the Asian counters dropped by more than 62 points in the intra-noon trade and is currently trading at 10,214.61 points.

The sensitive index swung 209 points between the high of 10,234 and the low of 10,025 points.

The BSE mid-cap index lost 0.88 per cent while the BSE small-cap index lost 0.55 per cent on profit-booking.

On the sensex, the major gainers were, Ranbaxy Lab up 3.90 per cent to Rs 284.60, Satyam Computers up by 2.35 per cent and HDFC Bank up 1.25 per cent to Rs 740. Reliance Communications, Reliance Industries, TISCO and Wipro were other gainers up between 0.5 to 2.5 per cent.

Besides all others were losers down between 0.5 to 3.5 per cent.
