Ouster rumour is media creation, says Yadav

Jabalpur, June 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Subhash Yadav has described reports about the move to oust him as a ''media creation,'' saying he will continue to hold the post till the Congress high command wants.

He dismissed as hypothetical leader of the opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi's claim that she had taken up with the high command the issue of removing Mr Yadav as PCC chief.

Talking to newsmen here last night, Mr Yadav said he was not annoyed with any remarks of Ms Devi as she was held in high esteem due to her seniority and experience. ''If Ms Devi was annoyed with me on any issue, then it would be settled mutually'', he added.

When pointed out that he did not enjoy the support of party legislators, he said support of MLAs was not important in running the organisation.

The Congress leader alleged the BJP government had failed on all fronts and it had forgotten the election promises. People are facing water and electricity problems.

Mr Yadav said that congress being a responsible opposition, had given sufficient time to the BJP government to perform. With disillusionment over the working of the government, the Congress would launch a movement shortly, he added.
