Nikkei opens lower on techs, Kyocera declines
Tokyo, June 23 : The Nikkei share average fell 0.88 percent on Friday as investors sold shares in Kyocera Corp. and other technology issues, after concerns about a slowdown in the U S economy hit similar stocks on Wall Street.
The Nikkei was down 143.09 points at 14,992.60 as of 0005 GMT. The TOPIX index was down 0.99 percent at 1,533.79.
