Nepal to establish diplomatic ties with Ecuador
Kathmandu, June 23: Nepal and Ecuador have agreed to establish diplomatic relations, according to the foreign ministry.
The Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, Madhu Raman Acharya, and the Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the united Nations, Diego Cordovez singed an agreement to this effect at the Permanent Mission of Nepal in New York today, the ministry said in a press release.
With Ecuador, the number of countries with which Nepal has established diplomatic relations has reached 119.
The establishment of diplomatic relations is expected to promote bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual benefit, it said.
