Military talks between Pakistan, Turkey begins on Tuesday

Islamabad, June 23 (UNI) The fourth meeting of Pakistan-Turkey high level military dialogue group will be held in Rawalpindi on June 27 to discuss ways to further boost defence ties between the two countries.

A statement issued by the Defence Ministry here today said a 14-member Turkish delegation led by Deputy Chief of General Staff General Isik Kosanor arrives here on Tuesday to participate in the four-day meeting, starting on June 27.

It is a useful forum to further broaden scope of defence cooperation between the two countries,'' the statement said.

Pakistan Secretary Defence Tariq Waseem Ghazi and General Kosanor will lead their respective delegations at the meeting.

The Turkish delegation will also meet senior military officials to find new areas of cooperation among the armed forces of the two countries.
