Italy's De Rossi banned for four matches
BERLIN, June 23: Italy's Daniele De Rossi was suspended for four matches today for the elbowing incident on US striker Brian McBride on June 17, said the Italian Football Federation's media spokesman Antonello Valentini.
The four-game ban included Thursday's World Cup group match against Czech Republic, meaning midfielder De Rossi would be available for the final if Italy get that far in the tournament.
