Four pilgrims killed in road accident

Kadapa, Jun 23 (UNI) Four pilgrims, including a four year old boy were killed on the spot and six others injured, one of them seriously, when a private bus, which was proceeding to Tirupati from Hyderabad, collided with the Maruti van in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh today.

Police here said the mishap occurred when a ten member family, hailing from Nalgonda district were returning from Tirumala temple, following darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

The deceased were identified as Mutyala P Rakash (25), K Venkatanarayana(35), C Balaji (45) and Pandu(four).

The injured were admitted to the Kadapa Government hospital.

Efforts were on to trace the absconding bus driver, police added.
