Cong rebel candidate expelled

Pondicherry, June 23 (UNI) The Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee today expelled Govind, a party rebel candidate for the civic polls here, from primary membership of the party.

PCC(I) president P Shanmugham told newspersons that Mr Govind, by fielding himself as a candidate for the post of village panchayat ward member against the official PMK candidate, had indulged in anti-party activities.
