500 gm heroin seized, one held

Bhopal, June 23 (UNI) A man was arrested and 500 gm heroin, worth Rs 50 lakh, seized from his possession in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district, police said.

As per information from state police control room here, Manish Porwal was arrested near Narchha Mata temple in Mandsaur yesterday.

He was trying to convey the contraband to Patna with the help of a truck driver.

In separate seizures, police nabbed Gopal Dhakad and seized 1.6 kg opium from him at Basai road near Suasara area, while 134 kg opium was seized from a jeep during a raid at Malahgarh area near Barkheda railway crossing. The jeep driver managed to escape.
