Youths to get maximum number of tickets for punjab, UP polls Tanwar

Jalandhar, Jun 22 (UNI) All India Youth Congress president Ashok Tanwar today assured fairly good representation to youths in allotment of party tickets for the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Tanwar said that Congress general secretary and UP state committee incharge Ashok Gehlot and state president Salman Khurshid had already announced that party tickets for at least 250 of the 403 assembly seats in UP would be given to Youth Congress activists.

He said that YC would also ensure maximum possible tickets to youths in Punjab too. ''Winnability and services for the organisation would be the criteria for the purpose.

He also assured fair representation to YC activists in various committees and boards.

Mr Tanwar was in the town to inaugurate youth leadership study camp organised by the organisation, Punjab Ministers Avtar Henry and Ms Gurkanwal Kaur also addressed the inagural session.
