YC to appoint 33 pc women in district, state committees

Jalandhar, Jun 22 (UNI) All India Youth Congress has decided to make compulsory 33 per cent representation to women in all its district and state organisational committees.

The organisation national president Ashok Tanwar told reporters here today that no new district executive committee would be approved by the leadership without 33 per cent representation to women.

He said steps to increase the representation to women to the aforesaid level in the existing organisational committees, would be taken as soon as possible.

He said that this norm would be strictly followed and implemented in the organisational set up.
