Usher new era in industrtrial entrepreneurship: CM

Hyderabad, Jun 22 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today called on the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to help motivate and inspire the world entrepreneurship in keeping the State in top position in the country.

Interacting with the Chairman and other top brass of the CII here, he reiterated that the State Government was determined to transform Andhra Pradesh into prime investment destination and the fastest growing economy in the country.

Dr Reddy exhorted the entrepreneurs from within the country and abroad to consider setting up of world-class units, particularly in the Food procedding and Textiles sectors and help expand the scope of employment opportunities for youth while contributing its mite to sustain the growth of state economy.

The government had decided to give greater thrust on employment generation through food processing and textile industries, he added.

He said in addition to rural developoment, the government would continue its efforts to attract huge investments in industrial sector, including IT to pave way for rapid economic development of the state.

He congratulated the IT industry and appreciated their efforts in bringing laurels to the state and transforming as number one in the country.

Complimenting the achievement of the state Industrial sector, Dr Reddy asserted that the state would retain the top position in the coming years with its impresive growth rate in production and exports, both in percentage and as well as absolute figure.

The inititive taken by the State government in promoting Fab City through its new ICT policy would have a lasting impact on the growth of the economy of the state, he added.
