Two temples looted of Rs two lakh worth valuables
Mysore, June 22 (UNI) Dacoits struck at two temples at Ramanahalli village on the outskirts of the city and decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs two lakh, last night.
Police said the dacoits had gained entry into the Godanahalli Maramma temple and Dinkamma Thayi temple by breaking open the doors and made good their escape with silver articles worth Rs 90,000 and gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 1.1 lakh respectively.
Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service to nab the culprits.
