Tollywood actor Jnaesh Mukherjee passes away

Kolkata, June 21 (UNI) Veteren Tollywood actor Jnaesh Mukherjee died this evening following a massive cardiac failure, family sources said.

He was taken to a private nursing home at 1630 hrs in south Kolkata after complaining of chest pain. But the physicians declared him brought dead, the sources said.

He was 79 and is survived by his son.

The actor had figured in more than hundreds films and many serials in small screen in recent years.

Ganga, Ajantrick, Meghe Dhaka Tara are some of the movies made by famous directors where he etched out his name in character roles.

West Bengal Chief Minister Buddadeb Bhattacharjee has mourned the death of the actor.

The funeral will be held tomorrow.
