TN Govt writes off Rs 389 crore loans to farmers

Coimbatore, Jun 22 (UNI) Tamil Nadu government has written off about Rs 389 crore in Coimbatore under the state government's scheme of waiving agricultural loans to farmers, State Highway Minister M P Swaminathan said today.

Addressing a function organised to distribute beneficiary certificates to the farmers here, the minister said about 90,000 persons in the district had already benefitted from the scheme.
