Three newly elected MLCS take oath

Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) Three newly elected members of the Maharashtra Legislative Council today took oath as members.

Dr Vasant Pawar of NCP elected from Nashik local bodies, Zainuddin Zaveri of Congress from Wardha-Chandrapur- Gadchiroli local bodies and Jagdish Gupta of BJP from Amravati local bodies were administered the oath by Legislative Council Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh in his chambers at Vidhan Bhavan.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Patil, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Pandurang Phundkar and BJP group leader in the Legislature Gopinath Munde were present on the occasion.
