Three kidnappers arrested

Kurukshetra, Jun 22 (UNI) Police has arrested three persons, wanted in abduction and extortion case of a local businessman and recovered three revolvers and four cartridges from their possession.

The Judicial Magistrate today sent the accused in police remand for two days for further investigation in the kidnapping of Ishwar Bansal, who was abducted on the night of 25 April this year by a group of jeep-borne criminals.

Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said the police identified the culprits and closed on the group leading to the release of Mr Bansal after five days of captivity near Hisar. So far twelve people have been nabbed in the case.

The police recovered three country-made revolvers and four live and two used bullet shells from their possession.

The SP said the main culprit, identified as Vijay Malik of Narwana in Jind district is absconding. He is wanted in 22 cases of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Haryana and Punjab.
