Sugar prices eases on larger stocks arrivals
Navi Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) Sugar prices suffered a setback on lack of fresh demand in the face of larger stocks arrivals by mills, traders at the sugar market said today.
Sugar rates in small and medium grades eased by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.
Sugar rates in ex-mill small and medium grades declined by Rs 20 per quintal each on increase of stock supply and poor demand by bulk consumers.
Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,850/1,900, medium grade Rs 1,880/1,940.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,810/1835 and medium grade Rs 1,852/1,875.
