Sensex resilience; opens at 10,093.38 points
Mumbai, June 22: Breaking the past few weeks record the BSE Sensex opened at 10,093.38 which is 53 points up compared to the previous close of 10,040.14.
It is led largely by firm foreign markets influencing the FMCG, Metals and IT shares to dominate the opening trade.
IT stocks performed better as the Nasdaq surged by one per cent.
Similarly, the Asian markets opened higher as the American stocks surged leading the key indices in Asia to pare gains between one to two per cent.
At 1105 hrs all the scrips on the BSE Sensex were trading in green between one and four per cent, except Dr Reddy's lab, which was down by 4.70 per cent.
