Sena MP alleges conspiracy to separate Mumbai as Sena is ignored
Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) Shiv Sena MP and Executive Editor of party mouthpiece Sajnay Raut today alleged that the elected representatives of Shiv Sena were ignored from the programme of Mumbai Metro Rail as this was a conspiracy of break the city from Maharashtra by using money power.
In a letter written to Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) Commissioner Dr T Chandrashekhar, he wondered that barring the Mayor of Mumbai, who is from Shiv Sena; the names of no other elected representative from the Sena were mentioned in the invitation card.
He also said that the MPs of NCP and Congress were sitting on the dais, while those of Shiv Sena-BJP were sitting in the audience.
Criticising this approach, he questioned whether the Metro railway expenditure was done from the Congress party's treasury.
Shiv Sena had always opposed the move to break Mumbai from Maharashtra and in 1985, the party came to power on its own in Brihanmumbi Municipal Corporation (BMC) on the same issue. Since 1985, barring a gap of four years, the party is always ruling its citadel in alliance with BJP.
