Rs 2000 crores sanctioned by DONER for NE
Imphal, Jun 22 (UNI) Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) has sanctioned Rs 2000 crores for the North Eastern states during the period 2002 to 2006.
The state information department official said during the period 224 developmental schemes were also taken up.
The share for Manipur was Rs 197.26 crores for taking up 35 schemes. Some of the important projects were water supply scheme for which Rs 59.71 crores was sanctioned.
About Rs 5.44 crore was sanctioned to construct power sub-station at Thanlon it was added. A Rs 10 crore project to construct Government College of Electronics was also taken up.
Assam got the highest amount of money Rs 736.02 crore from the DONER it was added.
