Real Madrid to be sponsored by BenQ Mobile till 2010

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) Cashing in on the phrase 'Catch them while you can' in view of the mass hysteria generated by Soccer, German-based telecom company BenQ Mobile is set to make hay while the sun shines.

BenQ Mobile has announced its partnership with the Spanish Club Real Madrid -- the world's best-known soccer club having the largest global fan base, to reach out to as many people as possible, after having recognised the huge role a successful brand roll-out can play in achieving business initiatives.

''Under the partnership, we will be the major sponsors of the Real Madrid Club and from the 2006/07 season on, star soccer players from Real Madrid will be advertising for BenQ-Siemens,'' BenQ Asia Pacific Corp President Adrian Chang said here.

Players with the Spanish club, whose squad reads as a who's who list of the Soccer world, will be sporting the BenQ-Siemens brand on their jerseys till the year 2010, and the company logo will also embellish advertising spaces in Madrid's Bernabeu Stadiu.

Besides, the star attractions of the team including Ronaldo, David Beckham, Raul, and Robinho will also feature in the television commercials advertising the brand.

The German-Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturing company today unveiled its new consumer brand, BenQ-Siemens, in India.

BenQ had purchased Siemens mobile unit in June, 2005, and will be able to use the Siemens brand name for up to five years.
