Rain drenches away heat in Kolkata
Kolkata, Jun 22 (UNI) A smart noon shower yesterday brought the much needed respite that the people were waiting for.
There was a good amount of rainfall in the city and people seemed to take out the maximum advantage of the wonderful weather.
The flora and fauna also brightened up after a fresh bath in the much waited downpour. The Maidan, the lungs of the city, looked verdant green after the downpour.
The MET officials have predicted a rainfall within the next 24 hours in the state.
However, humidity has lessened after the rains.
The relative humidity recorded yesterday was a maximum of 93 per cent and a minimum of 73 per cent. The maximum temperature was 32.2 degree Celsius and the minimum 25.8 degree Celsius.
