Programme on RI begins
Dumka, Jun 22 (UNI) A three-day training programme on 'Right to Information' began here today.
Organised under the aegis of Sri Krishna Public Administration the programme was inaugarated by the commissioner of Santhal Paragna.
Commissioner Siyaram Prasad Sinha appealed to make people aware of this new law.
He said with the new Act, the officials are bound to give information to anyone demanding the information.
Citing the example of Sweden, he said the country empowered its citizen with right to information in 1776 after which decline in corruption was observed.
Now corruption level is very less in Sweden in comparison to other countries, he added.
The trainning programme will end on June 24.
