Portfolios announced, Prakash gets Home
Bangalore, June 22 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) Karnataka unit President and former Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash has been allotted Home, Law and Parliamentary Affairs portfolio by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today.
According to official sources, Governor T N Chaturvedi, on the recommendation of the Chief Minister, allotted portfolios to the eight Cabinet Ministers who were sworn in yesterday.
Mr H D Revanna, elder brother of Mr Kumarasway, was allotted PWD, which he had held in the previous Congress-JD(S) government and Power.
The Chief Minister has also reallocated portfolio of Katta Subramanya Naidu and he was made Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa was given additional charge of Minor Irrigation.
Following is the list of the new Ministers and their portfolio: Mr M P Prakash: Home, Law and Parliamentary affairs, Mr H D Revanna PWD and Power.
Mr Jameer Ahmed: Wakfs and Haj Committee.
Mr H K Kumaraswamy: Women and Children Development.
Mr Ravindranath: Rural Water Supply and Sugar (Additional Charge), Mr Shivananda Naik: Small Industries.
Mr Revu Naik Belamagi: Animal Husbandry.
Mr Shashidhar Akkappa Naik: Horticulture.
