Police and naxals exchange fire in Adilabad forest area

Adilabad, June 22 (UNI) There was an exchange of fire between police party and CPI(Maoist) in Mamidigattu forest area of Mandamarri mandal this district today.

However, there was no loss of life on both sides.

A special police party engaged in combing operations came across an armed naxal group. When the police asked them to surrender, the ultras opened fire at them.

The Maoists managed to escape from the spot, police said.
