Panipat cooperative tops sugar sale in Haryana
Chandigarh, June 22 (UNI) The Cooperative Sugar Mills, Panipat has ranked top among the 12 cooperative sugar mills in Haryana for sugar sales realisation during the year 2005-06 despite stiff competition.
Panipat Cooperative Sugar Mill has sold 2,03,755 quintals of free sale sugar during the year 2005-06 at an average rate of Rs 1746.81 per quintal which was Rs.20.68 higher than the State average. The mill has earned Rs 42 lakh more due to higher rate of sugar, a spokesman of Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation said today.
He said the Cooperative Sugar Mills, Meham has attained second position followed by Rohtak, Gohana, Jind, Karnal, Palwal, Shahbad, Sonepat, Kaithal, Sirsa and Bhuna.
